Michelle Stephens writes twisty suspense mysteries and thriller fiction about the lengths desperate people will go to. Her debut novel, THE CRACK, releases in January 2027 and she is currently working on her second book.

Before making the switch to full-time writing, Michelle was busy building worlds as an architect. But growing sick of real world constraints, she ditched her day job and started exploring more figurative worlds — and hasn’t looked back.

These days, if she is not at her desk writing, you’ll find her with her head buried inside a book, sharing her favourite reads on Instagram or chasing fluffy yellow balls around a tennis court.

Michelle lives and works in Naarm/Melbourne with her family.
